Call for Research Concepts 2024: Synopsis
The TMRC Network Opportunity Fund supported, trained, and mentored the next generation of neglected tropical disease (NTD) researchers. This program helped develop capacity for NTD research around the world. It was intended to leverage the expertise, established field sites, specimens and data collected by the TMRCs to expand up the currently funded TMRC project and/or conduct pilot studies which will provide preliminary data to develop future larger grant applications.
Awards were extended to the University of Texas Medical Branch, Universidad de Peruano Cayetano Heredia, Christian Medical College-Vellore, and The Hospital for Sick Children for 2023 Opportunity Fund awardees. The Opportunity Fund subawards were completed and closed out in 2025.
